OVERVIEW: The Semiconductor Device Engineer will characterize and electrically test prototype silicon biosensor devices. The Semiconductor Device Engineer will use the electrical testing output to simulate and design the nextgeneration biosensor devices for optimized performance.
RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Screen and electrically test prototypes ? Simulate new device geometries and compare to experimental results ? Use experimental results to optimize sensor design and performance ? Work with manufacturing team on sensor design and fabrication ? Present data to managers and executives
QUALIFICATIONS: ? BS + 7 years, MS + 3 years, or Ph.D. in electrical engineering, materials science, physics, or related discipline ? Knowledge of semiconductor physics and devices ? Knowledge of electrical testing techniques, including sourcemeters, lock-in amplifiers, probe stations ? Automation and programming skills (e.g. LabView, MatLab) ? Data presentation skills ? Experience working with start-up companies is a plus ? Knowledge of the biomedical device industry and FDA standards are a plus
